I live in St.George, Utah with my husband Jeremy, and our five incredible children. I can honestly say that I am in love with my life and love the adventure this journey brings! I grew up in a small town with a large family. As one of the oldest children, there wasn’t a lot of time to receive one-on-one attention. As a result, I learned from a young age to find ways to take care of my own needs and as I grew into adulthood learned the importance of making high-quality self-care a priority.

I know that as women we spend so much of our time taking care of others. We’re wives, mothers, daughters, aunts, sisters, business owners, employees, community leaders. . .etc..that we forget to take care of ourselves. I’ll never forget the day a naturopathic doctor tested my adrenals. The shock and concern on his face told me everything: my health was in jeopardy. He confirmed that my body was under severe adrenal fatigue and that if I didn’t get it under control immediately, I was at risk of
developing a life-threatening disease.

It was my wake-up call.

Before that meeting, I had been waking up every morning feeling like I was carrying a ton of bricks. I felt hungry all the time. Standing even became a chore. I would feel dizzy and out of breath. I had NO energy! I struggled to manage my weight. I had to stop exercising altogether. I wasn’t sleeping well. My hormones were out of balance. I felt irritable, depressed, and helpless.
And yet, I was doing all I could to still run my business, be a mom and wife, and continue to serve in my community. It was a recipe for certain disasters.
Although I was always “taking care” of myself, it wasn’t until this moment that I realized there are levels to the kind of care we require to optimize our health and well-being. Yes, we’ve all experienced what it feels like to simply make it through our days. But is that the goal? Are we just trying to keep the boat from sinking? Is it enough to just keep our heads above water?

Don’t we want to thrive; to not just survive but experience the greatest levels of energy, joy, and enthusiasm?
I’m a witness to the fact it is possible.

Interestingly, my desire to take better care of myself enabled me to become a woman of relative means. Having become a woman of relative means, I was given access to a level of self-care I didn’t know existed. Because this has been so life-changing for me, I am on a mission to help other professional women overcome burnout and live their best life. I have been fortunate to work with hundreds of women all over the world to optimize their health
and well-being which has affected every aspect of their lives. When you have more energy, you can get more things done, and more of the things that matter most to you. When you feel good physically, emotionally, and mentally, your ability to meet the needs of others becomes less of
a burden and more of a joy. By taking care of yourself, not only does the quality of your life improve but so too does your love for it!
